Agoria Solar Team uses Zoomforth to engage potential partners

Everything happens online now, and we had to follow this trend. When the Covid crisis hit we were really glad we already had Zoomforth - it's so useful now with everyone working remotely.

The Challenge

The Agoria Solar Team is a team of Belgian engineering students, competing to build the most innovative and efficient solar car. The team won first place in the Carrera Solar Atacama in Chile in 2018, first place in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australia in 2019 and first place in the iLumen European Solar Challenge in 2020. Their aim is to raise awareness of the power and potential of green energy as well as Belgium's vibrant engineering sector. The team is made up of volunteers and relies largely on the generous financial support of partners to fund their activities around the globe.

With a high number of alternative causes competing for the patronage of potential sponsors, Agoria needed a way to differentiate themselves. They came to Zoomforth because they wanted to share their message with potential partners as efficiently as possible and stand out from the crowd.

The Solution

Before the pandemic hit, the Agoria Solar Team was already looking for a way to connect with sponsors remotely, in a more engaging way. Having selected Zoomforth's intuitive and content-focused microsite builder, the team's communication strategy was well prepared for the COVID-19 lockdown.

The multimedia-rich, interactive, and well-designed microsites the Agoria team were able to create without code allowed them to make a compelling case, even remotely.

The Impact

With a PDF or a PowerPoint, once it's in the recipient's inbox there's nothing you can do to change it. If you want to update the information they have, you have to send them a new version of the document (and there's no guarantee they'll remember to use the new version as a reference). Not so with Zoomforth:

With a Zoomforth site, there's no confusion. There's no history of documents scattered around a prospect's inbox. As the Agoria Solar Team found out, there's just one canonical version at any time. And it's a cinch to update.

Key milestones include:

Increased conversions 42% conversion from outreach to site visit
Increased engagement 50% conversion from visit to meeting

Companies have gone out of their way to tell us that the Zoomforth site was really helpful in understanding our whole project.
